Beauty Faves

We love these products & use them personally

One of the best way to discover great products is to ask other women!

We love to share the products we love and use everyday with the women in our community. We also try to take time every month to evaluate and review new products.

This is where we share our favorites. It is an ever-growing list. Many have been featured on our video blogs. To find those, scroll through the category list to the right and look for the beauty category to view some of those shows.

Please Note:  We may earn a small commission for some of our recommendations  and/or links to products or services mentioned on this website. Your purchase helps support our work in bringing you quality information to realize your best health, body, and life – no matter what your age.

2-Minute Miracle Gel – 7 Treatments in 1 Product This amazing formulation cleanses, exfoliates, plumps, hydrates, minimizes pores, softens lines and is a fabulous makeup primer. Use it from face to chest – even the back of your hands for softer, more youthful skin. We’ve used this product about 9 months and love how it makes our skin look and feel. Very affordable and effective.

Heritage Store Organic Castor Oil -Minimize wrinkles, scars, and inflammation with just a couple drops of castor oil. Danna uses it every morning under my eyes to soften the “crinkle” that comes after sleeping with her face in the pillow!

Humphrey’s Organic Witch Hazel – Toss out your expensive toners and switch to this natural, anti-inflammatory, all-purpose cleanser, toner, and refresher. Danna uses it after cleansing to tone her  skin. It’s also a great way to get a midday skin refreshing if you just want to partially touch up your foundation. Swipe off the first layer with a moistened cotton pad, add a dab of moisturizer and a tad bit of foundation. You’re fresh and ready for a night on the town or important meeting!

Oil of Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Cream Years ago, Danna asked a cosmetic dermatologist what over the counter drug store products were the best options for women on a budget. He told her the Oil of Olay Regenerist Brand was excellent. She’s been using them ever since! Why spend more if you don’t need to? So, this is Danna’s fave night cream and the moisturizer below is her fave daytime moisturizer. Robyn now loves them also!  You can find these products in most drug stores. We often buy them in double packs at Costco.

Oil of Olay Daytime Moisturizer with SPF 30 – Love this light moisturizer that really keeps skin soft
and hydrated!

Perricone MD Citrus Facial Wash

Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer

Avalon Organics CoQ10 Facial Cleansing Milk This creamy cleanser removes eye makeup extremely
well and is not caustic to the eyes.

Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Oil Soap   This soap is deliciously stimulating with Peppermint Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive & Hemp Oil.

Burt’s Bees Facial Wipes – A natural way to cleanse your face when needed without water!

Age Rewind Concealer by Maybelline – Cover age spots and dark circles instantly.

Age Rewind Make-Up – A very inexpensive and light makeup with SPF for smooth coverage. We both
use the Pure Beige color for medium complexions.

Sephora Mattefying   Robyn likes to use this also on my decolletage to cover imperfections)

Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base with SPF 20  This has a sunscreen in it and so just one less step.  By the way, Robyn’s case has lasted 7 years, so she just buys refills.

Stila Color Balm Lipstick,   Danna’s favorite EVER – smells, tastes and FEELS great. My Color: Isabell

MAC Studio Finish Concealer:  The BEST coverup ever for age spots, scars, difficult to cover “issues”.

Lipstick – Loreal Nudes:  To create a younger look, find a nude color that works for your skin tone.

Loreal has done a nice job of offering several unique nudes that are linked to a few celebrity women. For example, J-Lo is a very muted tan and Julianna a more pinkish nude. Find one that works for you and use various lip pencil colors to change it from peachy to pink or even a mild red. I often find my faves (the ones I mentioned) at CVS Pharmacy or Rite Aid. The link above is on Amazon- but most local drug stores should have these moderately priced lipsticks. They are very creamy and natural.

Skin Brush   Use for Dry Skin Brushing to activate the lymphatic system. This is a terrific way to

exfoliate and stimulate new and softer skin all over your body. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll see and feel an improvement in the feel and look of your skin.
